I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Brown Data Science Institute and Department of Biostatistics, Brown University, working with Professor Larry Han.

My research interests broadly lie in statistical methodology, data science, and artificial intelligence for modern datasets with complex intrinsic metric geometry, with applications in public health and social sciences. I am particularly interested in object data analysis in non-Euclidean metric spaces, safe decision-making with calibration, modern causal inference and data integration.

In Fall 2026, I am a Visiting Scholar at the Institute for Mathematical and Statistical Innovation, the University of Chicago for their Connectomics: Non-Euclidean Data Analysis for Brain Structure and Function.

I received my PhD in the Department of Statistics at the University of California, Davis, where I was fortunate to be advised by Professor Hans-Georg Müller. Before that, I earned my B.S. in Mathematical science and Statistics from Seoul National University.
